time for an update!

Well, before I left for Singapore, we had a mini mini (it was not supposed to be though - it just turned out that way) christmas dinner @ home + christmas lights "viewing" near leekim's house! WOW. They apparently win award one ok!

me leekim + gina goofying around. gloria isn't there because someone wants to stay home and watch some weird show. can't even remember the title of the show. shows how "not nice" the show is. HAHAHA!



Then, I came home to SG!

Of course, I met up with them! - Our christmas celebration had to be pushed forward because of me - I was going away during the christmas season. We went on a food spree since morning and had mini games in between and ended up in a ktv at night singing & dancing the night away and exchanging presents till dawn - when we finally went home. It was indeed a fabulous, crazy day + night but of course, well spent.

Last Year @ URA

1 & 2] Look @ the similar faces!
We were all bloated and full so we decided to have a mini game - we were grouped in 3s and had 3 groups (melis had joined us by now) Mission: Find Gui Lin Gao in Little India! Each group had to buy 3.
so..3] The last 2 groups arriving back to station
4] We were the 1st Group! YAYs! WOW.
5] They were second..
6] And they were LAST. SOMEMORE never found the gui lin gao.

And the LAST group's punishment was to eat ALL the gui lin gao. They smart. never buy themselves, so less 3 gui lin gao to eat. BUT we showed grace - we helped.

3] Then we went to eat duck/intestine/kwaychap/drinks + send YJ to work

We ended the food spree with a fabulous SEAFOOD dinner! @ this ulu place @ punggol. We ordered so much seafood (I just realised I didn't try the "famous" meegoreng thing). And ate until really full. But, how come there weren't any photos? - at least i don't have...so then after eating, we proceeded to jumping at the.....harbourside. It was a pretty nice place. Too bad it was kinda ulu + hard to go there. It was also here that the *goth sign* came up!

Then we left to pick Si up and headed to the ktv.
1 - 4] We didn't take many ktv potos but more videos instead. But still we had an insane time there with all the drama actions + "emotions" AHAHA. And the KTV place was absolutely out-of-my-mind. Maybe I haven't been around in SG for a while...the ktv has like different sound effects, has different lightings, has a button for u to press to let "smoke" out somemore! WOW!

I guess I've had abit of thinking time; I concluded what superpower I want.

Invisibility.

It was a choice between invisibility, ability to read minds, teleport.

I realised ability to read minds isn't that great. I might not hear what I want to hear. I might not hear what i'm interested in knowing. or rather, I might hear what i'm not interested in knowing.

And invisibility wins over teleport. Teleport isn't that important. the important people are either in Singapore OR Perth. Not like I have to travel to 5283 destinations to catch up with everyone.

Invisibility allows me to fulfil the "ability-to-read-minds" part too. in a way. And invisibility allows me to just disappear when the situation arises. Embarassing situations, awkward situations, need-to-be-alone situations, don't-find-me situations, disappear-just-for-fun situations, and loads more. How fun that'll be!

no, I wasn't watching Heroes if you were going to ask.

so, this trip back IS going to be rather TIGHT.

start booking me. 15th dec is booked, 16th dec is booked (yes, I booked myself for u wronglors - though the other days are yours too, somehow), 22nd dec to 1st jan is booked, 5th jan is booked, 12th jan is booked and I'm probably flying on the 13th jan. and my oral defence is on 14thjan. HELP. it's a monday and I'm not earlier back in Perth than that and that means I won't be able to have any help from supervisors. i AM scared now...

i'm going to be back for less than a month! man. I promise I'll be back again within the next 6 months!

to think I still thought I could work on a few events. sorry man...

And I thought after submitting, I'll be super free. NO. I'm not loh. But at least I have a few things settled and off the mind already! =D

And today's the 4th time I've gone into the toilet, and switched OFF the lights instead of locking the door. wth is wrong wimme?! the switch and the doorknob is so different! =/

and, thanks to debs (and her parents especially..) I have my keyboard wimme now! =D

and tomorrow i'm finally going ikea to get my furniture! =D and eat hotdogs. =DD

but i still have plenty to do. tsk. such a pain.

yes, what am I doing up at 4.51am? (the blog is in singapore time but we have daylight savings now) cause jen bluff-ed me and told me an earlier time to fetch her rather than the actual time needed. which resulted in me thinking there's not enough time to bake my cake. SO. I left the "raw" cake as it is and didn't bake it until I came back from the airport. so then I had to wait for it to bake, wait for it to cool, and such. YAWN. I'm going to sleep now.

yarps, my thesis is finished and all ready to be binded tomorrow. the last time I mentioned my 40 pages left to edit? wells. my supervisor just started deleting stuff off. chunks by chunks. I was going "erms, but that part was used to explain...", "erms, but I thought that was kinda impt..", "erms, really don't need that?" - I was so like kinda 心痛 that she deleted quite a bit. but I know, I know, it was for my good. just...wasted. i just thought they wanted to know everything! BUT apparently, NO. They really don't want to know everything.

So wells. BUT STILL, i'm kinda at the high end of my thesis size. there's no official word limit but my academic supervisor said stay around 150 pages is kinda the max. I've got 173 pages. opps. but but but, if u don't count the statement, content pages, lists of figures and tables...the NOT actually thesis part, they're ~150!

And so today was a super LONG day. slept late (or rather early), church, print thesis, lunch, subi festival thingy, dinner +movie at home, bubble tea.

The subi festival was..kinda fun. I haven't walked around like this for a very very long time. without "thesis" hanging on to the back of my head. wow. what a feeling. It's like, I'm still thinking abt the thesis, but i know there's nothing i can do, and it's not important that I rush back now to sit down and do it. i don't know whether it can be considered liberation. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love walking around such a buzzy activity day/festival or window shopping "without a care" in the world.



okey, and so...i'll blog tomorrow. HAHA. imma go sleep now! erms. no, after i read my thesis one last time! lol. just feel like reading it one last time.
