Dinner @ Thai with Style

We had dinner @ this little tucked away Thai restaurant in the corner of salisbury ave and canning hwy. It belongs to the wife-of-the-friend-of-Jude. Don't ask me why cannot just say Jude's friend. Long story.
1] The interesting menu! Which we didn't really have to take a look cause the friend has already picked out their award-winning dishes for us!

1] Pineapple Fried Rice (with curry powder, pineapple + raisins!) 1st time I've heard curry powder used in pineapple fried rice though - it's delicious!
2] Red curry (with bamboo, chilli + basil)
3] Stir fry Pad Prik (with chilli paste, tomato, capsicum + basil) - YES I realised that the picture is upside down! BUT I'm too lazy to change that.
4] Green curry (with bamboo, green pea, capsicum + basil)
5] Kiew Krob (Deep fried wantons stuffed with minced pork. Served with Sriracha chilli sauce) I forgot about this dish until we only had 1 left on the plate! HAHA
6] Whole Fish deep fried with chillies (Deep fried topped with chillies, tamarind + herb sauce) This was yummy too! WHOLE FISH leh. By the way, someone did eat the head + tail. HAHA. I won't say who! (clue: no.8)
7] Prawns - this I don't know what's it called.
8] ahem. the fish head. (like my grandpa!)

Next tidbit:

ilove reading newspapers and when I read the newspapers (talking about in Sg), nobody can disturb me. And I don’t answer to anything. No phone, No one calling me. Not even when the place is on fire. Just kidding. But you get my point. And I spend approximately 1 hour on newspapers, reading EVERYthing. No kidding. Including Classifieds and Jobs (it's actually interesting!). FINE pet, I scan through the sports. Usually, I do the routine of Straits Times, then The Newpaper. Nope, I don't do chinese papers. They are usually full of crap like the night before that famous person died, he sat in a cab with the number (put in date he died). And 20 years ago, a famous person with the same last name died on the same date. And lots and lots of gossip that's totally not newsworthy.

I realised that I had a list that I haven't posted. It was supposed to be the "7 habits/quirks/facts of you" - but as I did it, I had MORE than 7! SO. I've decided to post 1 each day as a tidbit at the end of each post.

Here's today's:
I’m "loveatfirsthearing". I don’t care how u look, voice wins. I loved my GP’s voice that I always looked out whether he was the GP in for the day that I go and see the doctor! He’s definitely not good-looking – my sister says he looks like a grasshopper – how good-looking can that be, but I love his voice! SUPER soothing that I just stone and let him talk as much as he wants. Somemore I was in the dazy-mode, I just wanted to fall asleep right there! Oh extra points, he DOESN'T have the doctors' handwriting! His was SUPER NEAT as well! SURPRISINGLY! Today, I went to see the doctor (cause of the angry red puffs tt are still appearing) and he was a nice-voice doctor! Hoorays! And he had a slightly impish, cheeky nature. (Twin!: that is the impish cheeky charm kind!)

Argh. I so want to smack myself. argh! I reminded myself yet I forgot! ARRRRGH. it's the frustration with my assay. I forgot to add something in and there's no turning back except to repeat it AGAIN. And this was already my 2nd time. **&$$#&*@(!

anyway, I didn't put up this poto + many other potos (still with ^5pal! - send me soon!).

so this was the night where Gab mentioned someone snatched the receipt from him:

All the food we ordered (except for Pet's "Fish of the day" which is not featured here)
1] Marinated Octopus (it's like a Cold dish)
2] Frites (quite yummy. I usually don't like the very potatoey kind of fries but this was good. Not TOO potatoey, but abit more potatoey than Mac's fries)
3] Prawns, Shiitake Mushrooms + Coriander Pesto
4] Spicy Sausage, Roast Peppers + Feta
5] Marinated Kangaroo, Bush tomato chutney
6] Sticky Date Pudding (YUMS)
7] Brownie
8] Waffles + apple, chubarb, and something.
9] Marinated Octopus

And so, picnic on Sunday was good. Super nice weather. erm, no potos yet. then, went for Hari Raya Celebration dinner @ Sofia + Yann's. Nice food. But I think my mind was kinda on my work that needs to be done la, so I didn't enjoy the time as much as I want to, but I appreciated the dinner really. Need to catch up with them another time soon + I didn't take any potos too.

It's just work really, nothing interesting. oh, maybe except whatever that happened in my household just yesterday. I went home during lunch (cause I forgot my tag + my lunch) and I saw my housemate around,

me: oh, no work today?
housemate: I'm moving out. yeh..
me: oh.

I freakin could only manage an "oh" LA. what else to say man. Like I knew they quarreled the night before too, but wells, they always quarreled ANYWAY. Then i didn't know if the other person was in anot so I didn't want to ask what happened, or i'm sorry, or whatever. it's just weird. Then in all awkwardness, I continued doing my own stuff while housemate went around packing stuff. so wells, but my OTHER housemate brought her bf home to stay though. so the number of people in the house is still 4. I'm fine with people staying over but because they took turns to use the toilet one after the other, I was forced to go downstairs to the gym toilet to wash up, use the toilet and stuff before going to work. haiyoh. almost late ar.

but everything else is well and good.

except that I've to repeat the stupid assay tomorrow. ^%&%#&

waiting for mangoes to come back in season! =p

I got kidnapped and the day goes:

1] I was sleeeping over cos' I had a seminar to attend at Murdoch early in the morning.
2] Pet, Debs + me the night b4

6] We ended up at Lakeside shopping centre @ JOONDALUP. gosh, told u I was kidnapped.
7 - 9] We bought a WHOLE honeycomb chocolate cake from Sugar & Spice Patisserie (they were just closed but they let us in!)

At the cafe where we sat down to finish the cake among the 5 of us, someone suggested that Andrew cook dinner for us, and we go over to bibralake to play. And after discussing discussing, I was like okey, u guys, enjoy, I'm going home...which then started a "WHY?!", "COME WITH US!", "NO, you CAN'T GO HOME" etc. And they decided to come up with 20 GOOD REASONS for me to stay with them, to go and eat dinner, + play. I came up with 4 GOOD reasons why I need to go home.
20 GOOD REASONS

So, WE (including me - HOW to FIGHT! they so shweet!) ended up back at bibralake, cooking dinner and random "growing up" moments!:

And they promised me to send me back by 12mn. And I threatened that I'll turn into a pumpkin if they didn't. Which made them look at me for a few secs and go, "We would love to see that." - O_o

In the end, they really didn't send me home by 12mn. But not too long after la...=)

What a random day.

Twin is so random that she typed all these, among other things, on her blog: I laughed when I saw them.

I want to see what mr. NUM looks like. I wonder if he looks like mr. G2000. Hehehe. Is there also a Mr. body shop and a Mr. Isetan? (Ise Tan. Is he Japanese or Chinese???) Not that Swong will find any of them cute. No man is cute to her. They are.. merely of particular different traits.

Swong is talking to me. Her evil plan is to get rid of herself so that I have to facilitate EGg next week. She must not dye/die! NOOOOOO

HAHAHAHA. super random la.

And ^5pal sent a morning message:
"morning girls! its such a nice day! love it love it. happy happy. hurr cant wait 4 sat, royal show. (: yipee. hee hugs have a blessed day ya. be safe!" @ 10.46am.

Again, so random. And I was still sleeeeeping. terrible I know. I always wonder how she can add so many "cute" words into 1 message. Like so many words add up to 160 characters only?? really meh. maybe she has a special deal with 3, optus, and vodafone.

I've been having a rash since chelle, son, ru + yj came over. It's on and off. Started on that wednesday (2 weeks ago now), peaked on the sunday with rashes everywhere - ate the antihistamines and went off till the next tuesday and it started to become on and off again, and peaked again today with rashes even more EVERYWHERE including the neck + face this time. I don't really like to take medicine unless necessary so finally had to take today and it has just gone down now. I was feeling so itchy just now. Icthing to relieve the itch! I shall spare u readers the gross images. no la, I didn't take any. I hope it goes away and stop disturbing me.

And as pet just said she had a fab time jamming with me + tim, I realised yes, I had a splendid time too! I guess, it's like too long that I did that, so it was really enjoyable. but the keys were heavier than a normal keyboard, so yes, after the whole thing, I realised my wrist and fingers were a little tired. HAHA. but enjoyable!

nope, no new potos. news of the day, erms, I managed to make it for the last day of prayer today! But no, I'm not telling u what time I reached! BUT i went! =D
