What causes us to think of prayer as the last option rather than the first?






No one called me from home for 2 nights, I sms-ed mummy regarding something and she didn't get back to me about it. I tried calling her, it either rang until the end or it got rejected. I tried calling the house phone to try and see if anyone would pick up, like maybe daddy was at home. I tried mum's office contact and it said she was away till 12th August. 12th August?! Weren't they back long ago? hmm. I sms-ed my cousin, no reply too?

This fear grew in me..did anything happen? What's going on? I started praying. I didn't know what to pray for, so I prayed in tongues. It calmed me down abit. I finally called my dad. I don't know why I didn't try his mobile earlier, maybe cause he couldn't pick it up if he was at work anyway.

Finally, he picked up, and he told me that they were all in HK. My mum, sis and cousin. -_-" wah lao eh. made me worry - which I was thankful for nothing though. I broke into a exasperated voice and "scolded" my dad and them for not telling me.

[phone conversation]
me: eh where's mummy? how come I call her, sms her all no replies one. I even called home.
daddy: they are in HK now la...
me: huh?! they never told me..
daddy: they were in a rush I think..
me: last minute go one meh?
daddy: I was supposed to call you to check on you and let u know too i think...
me: wah lao eh. then u never do your job?
daddy: what job? mop the floor? not yet what...
me: to CALL ME la! what mop the floor. tsk.
daddy: aiyah, but I working ma...then not free to call u loh.
daddy: so everything okey on your side la?
me: yah la..just wondering what happened la...nothing la, okey la, I go and sleep already..
daddy: okey, take care ar, bye bye.
me: yarps, bye bye..

which I then broke into a silly smile, and still prayed for protection over all of them.


The first sentence actually had nothing to do with my phone conversation, but then somehow, it kinda fits too ar?

another conversation I had with someone yesterday
me: eh so what's the new address?
someone: add an extra letter x to the end
me: wah. like the song leh. x x x x HAHAHAHHAAH
someone: HAHAHAHHAHA.

okey, it's not that funny like that cause I can't say it in it's entirety.
