Nintendo Wii
It's super cooool can. REAL simulation, sensitive controllers, great games. cool. it's the IT thing now.
We played the Wii games and also the Pirates of the Caribbean. The pirates totally "killed" us la. My arms were sore the next day! and today....twin's arms were sore too, melamoo sprained her wrist, jen said she was alright. HAHAHA But it's really cool. really REAL. like angle, speed, strength, blah blah. so fun. I'm going back to it.
me. they created me. they marvelled at their work after. think prob cause of the specs that made it really look like me. hahaa.

God is Enough
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you…My soul will be satisfied with the richest of foods.” Psalm 63:3, 5 NIV

Daddy's day! It always seems easier to be closer to mummies aye? I haven't been close to daddy all the while since young. I remember being very scared of him, very afraid, wanting to avoid any time I have with him. (My childhood is actually quite vague la, I can only remember some things. that's why I wish I was young again.) I remember, I didn't even talk to him much. I saw him as a fierce, boring, serious, stern, firm, whatever-that-fits here. But one day, I don't even know when! I can only remember around 12 years old, primary 6, things just changed! I was able to talk and relate to him like...a normal daughter would. Joke around, tease him, ask him stuff, make him do stuff, scare him, make him sign my papers, exchange news, ask him to buy kueh and fish soup for me, make him wake up and send me to school, follow him around. It was really a turnaround that year. I remember once that year I just reflected and realised what a big change for me it was and I was happy =). Now, it's still the same, we are close but not THAT close. like. u know, we are still the above, but not THAT close like he would talk to me about my day, say things like "oh that's lovely my dear!~" thinking about that, visualising that, my hair stands. hahaha. But today's daddy's day, so I would like to give him the praise for trying to be the best daddy around! He has almost always placed his family first and always tries to bring the best home for us...like what we want to eat, he'll go and get it that kind. But then again, I say no use. my sister say then got use. I say "chicken from bedok" he can complain already. my sister say "chicken from jurong", he will go loh. For the record, I stay simei. yah, my sis is the head of the household. not my parents. but no. I don't give in to her childish whims. too bad - she can scream all she wants. I'm like the disciplinarian. I need to scold my parents for giving in to her loh! tsk. and eh, don't think my sister is = younger sister can. my sister is OLDER than me. and u wonder la *rolls eyes.*okey back to my daddy. And so, hmm I was saying...yarps, and his life revolves around work, family, and mahjong. So it's pretty much providing for his family through work and then spending the rest of the time with family la. Most (meaning he does do other things) social activities revolves around mahjong. (so u should think im a mahjong expert right! my babysitter/nanny/aunties carried me since I was a baby playing mahjong okey!)And he's the only other one in the family who likes pets. or rather doesn't mind la. He's the only one who took interest in my hamsters. And well, he rears fishes, who almost always dies sooner or later before their time. HAHA. just happens that his gear not that pro ba? I don't know. they always seem to meet with some misfortune. like if they didn't die on their own, they died while trying to escape jumping out of the fishtank, they died while a lizard managed to eat them, they died while being sucked into the air filter. If we had our way, we could have gotten a dog or at least a guinea pig I think. And he's actually quite funny. I remember my mum telling us about their past dating times where he brought my mum to the zoo. and pronounced the animals wrongly and my mum wanted to laugh but decided to be polite. HAHAHA. and another time, he pointed to a mickey mouse T-shirt and said "Pinky mouse" HAHAHHAA. don't worry...he knows I told all my friends already. And more recent, we went to Melbourne and Perth few years back, maybe 4/5 years? and then the tour guide always says "to your left...you'll see this this this and to your right...you'll see that that and that." and then when we came back to SG, we were just cruising along in the car and suddenly, he went "on your left, you see HDB flats. they were built in 1990. and on your right, you see _____, it was here since 19__" something like that, that left all of us in the car in stitches. And of course there are some random stuff. I especially like to see the embarassed being teased look on his face. like cause I always say something to kinda "refute" him. and then he's got nothing to fight back. He's been quite a "gentle" dad actually. Like if I failed my, say spelling, I would rather go to him to get it signed than to go to my mum (but I found a way round my mum too...just go when she's sleeping. she'll forget everything the next day. HAHAHA. but it doesn't always work) And when say like my mum asks me to get something done like say, pack my room, she might scream at me. But my dad will just walk over "eh, mummy says pack your room." and I answer "umm." then he's satisfied with the answer and walks away. HAHA. But he's stubborn. Can get like real stubborn. Like he can't fix the table maybe? then he'll insist on doing it? and then at the end of it, maybe he gets it done? but like in 5 hours when he could have done it in 20 mins if he had listened to me. So usually I just leave the stuff to be fixed there first, when he get frustrated with it already, then I move in to do it. girl power! There was once my mum said I was stubborn, and I replied her, "oh, you obviously haven't met my dad."Oh and most importantly, he's the one who shares my love of kuehs, beh teh so, fried cuttlefish, waffles(thegreenbakerykind) and hmm. yummy stuff that some of them, according to my mum, only old people like to eat. -_-" anyway, so like when I buy such stuff, I know there's someone else who'll eat it too and when I want, I can ask him to buy too. like cause he wants also, he will buy. But that's where the danger is too! When I find my yummy food missing...I know whose stomach it landed up in. And, he'll always give me some lame excuse like "oh..I see like got some powdery stuff on it. thought maybe going to expire and grow mould already so better help u eat or else waste." or "oh, i'm helping u keep it safe here." - while pointing to his stomach. Haha. and so all in all, I would just like to say i love you and thank you daddy for all your works and love for the family and me! You were the chosen one to give me a glimpse of God's love.*opps. I didn't do a post similar for mother's day. opps. hehe. next time la hah?And of course, on the same note, Happy Daddy's Day to my Abba Daddy! You gave me the love that no earthly father could give, you hugged me the way my earthly father didn't hug, you sacrificed the way no one else could for me. You filled every gap in my heart and you surpassed all the expectations of a Father. You'll always be the One I run to, the example and image that I follow and grow into, the One that I can place total trust and fall right into your arms without inhibition. I thank You that my heart can be free in the grace that I've found in You, where I can boldly enter the holy of holies and stand right before You through the One, Jesus Christ, as I receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteouness and thus reign in life.-poto update tml. my net is cranky. my lab's net is pro. if there was a room for rent there I won't mind just staying there. do my experiments ANYTIME, wake up and walk out of the door is my lab, internet usage is super good. ACTUALLY TECHNICALLY, can leh. there got shower, got pantry, got toilet, go desk, EVERYTHING I NEED!
* I know his angle not very good..but sorry nah. too bad, we don't take so many potos. and as a side note, I realised that australia doesn't celebrate daddy's day in June! it's on the 1st sunday of Sept.

My colleague was asking me to take over his "duties" in the OR for 2 weeks in July - which is fine cause i have to be there anyway. But the thing is, after that, the samples have to be transported to PMH (princess margaret's hosp) which he usually does cause that's where he works! i.e. he just goes back to his workplace after bronchoscopies, carrying his samples. But during that 2 weeks, it means that I'll have to do that for him.
So I asked, "Is there any other option like maybe some inter-hospital courier that operates at no cost to us?"
To which he replied, "There is no inter-hospital courier. You will be the inter-hospital courier."
-_-" okey....fine. eh. it's quite "tedious" bringing it over to PMH actually. I'm at RPH leh. it's like 2 different ends!

The below was typed early morning at 3:10am
(I had to type the word "below" 3 times to get it right)
wohoo! my kueh salat was considered a success! okey, the top layer was kinda filmsy (my fren laughed at the choice of word I used) or u can call it nua. don't know why..maybe eggs were not the correct size (u know like australia has the L, XL, XXL, XXXL? like singapore only has 1 sizze. all the same. sorry free size) or maybe I agar-ed the rice flour too little. whatever. too tired to think.
I want to sleep but I can't cause my hair's still wet! but usually I don't care la. I just plop on my bed with my face down and hair up. but now, I feel like just plopping on my table already loh. okey, I'm going to bed or else I'll really just end up sleeping on the table.
But I had a wonderful time baking & cooking with Twin! superwomen. bake 2 stuffs and cook dinner. Actually she cooked dinner, and she did alot of baking! like the mixing, the boiling, the washing, blah blah. super duper. she stand until legs tired. HAHA. but pro. we made the world's best kueh salat. well, u don't know what is kueh salat right. and it's your first time hearing about kueh salat right? and if it is your first bite at kueh salat, it must be the world's best then! (since u never tried anyone else's ANYWAY)
And we made chocolate chip cookies too! easy peasy chocolate chip cookies. another WORLD'S BEST. don't believe u try on sunday. I've left a small box for melissa & tim! i know they loved it. =)
AND it was a fabulous time at Moon Cafe too! *potos potos* good casual meet up with everyone. loved the company! I know pet was so glad she came (and I believe it's cause of the the world's best kueh salat) HAHAHA.yah right. okey la. but I'm glad pet came. HAHA. and the rest were =D too, esp like pple u don't see often like..jan, jon's sis (Jamie), jon's sis's fren (i like to type out the whole thing. like instead of her name. I know her name okey! karen!), jude..WAH! out of 4 "new" pple, there are 3 Js!! what's with J? OH MY. I just realised, jen's J too! Like jon already has a family of Js. and now, Jen.
Okey, and the waiter wanted the world's best kueh salat! He requested to know what it was and wanted a piece! see what I said? it's the world's best kueh salat. ok cannot say too much. or else later don't match up to the expectation in someone's mind then i paiseh. (and u must be thinking "don't say too much"?! u already said TOO much loh.) FINE. I stop here.
And so then, some potos, and i'm really just going to flip into my bed.

After the night of live-lobsters-in-my-bathtub, I woke up the next morning and walked into the bathroom and felt like I lived in a what's-the-word? the...at the sea, where fishermen stay? erm. KELONG! ahaha. I've to stop for like 2 minutes to try and find the word. Seriously. I walked into the bathroom and still bleary-eyed, I sniffed the lobster-seafood-filled air. I had to blink twice at my surrounding to make sure I was not just walking in my dream into some kelong but truely awake. Then I remember last night. tsk.
And then, went back to Williamson Rd for Bak Kut Teh and some I-don't-know-called-what-pok-dish. The i-don't-know-called-what-pok-dish was superb. and bak kut teh was bak kut teh. yums. And my first visit that I saw ruskie (oh, and Cass). After hearing how many people he scratched and seeing the evidence left on say people like Adrian and Sherene, I was slightly "nervous" to meet him. He bites anything can. my jacket, my jeans, my bag, sherene's socks, her charger, some toy, paper, people. But he's still quite alright la. I've seen fiercer ones. so conclusion, I wouldn't mind seeing him again. HAHA. And he didn't scratch me. Cass is not a dog by the way, only ruskie.

The new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. He took out a card, wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back and stuck it in the door. When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10." Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

Happen to meet Sofia&Yann again in the city. Walked around for a slight while. and then sat on the bench and took potos.
And today marks the end of the bachelorette's pad living. They just came back. No more freedom! =( but there was a little highlight just now. like JUST just now. They brought back 9 LIVE lobsters and 1 octopus not live though. SCARY struggle with the lobsters as they try their last chance to escape. They look super NICE. yums. u think of them steamed in the pot, FRESH. YUMS. I know they look a little scary in the potos - like giant sea cockroaches but no. think of them as bright red FOOD. YUMS. I wasn't hungry and was munching on gummies (thanks to Leon! - though I lost every single game that we played la - he just bought it. thanks again - next time play minesweeper..i will win) (sorry, it was not bought for me. such a liar. tsk. okey fine! he didn't lie. I assumed he was nice. but he isn't!) But after looking at the FRESH, LIVE lobsters. wah I tell u. hungry already. I hope they don't invite me for dinner. cause I wouldn't accept their invitation and I would feel guilty to my stomach for rejecting the offer. haha.Okey time for potos of the SCARY but YUMMY lobsters. (we missed crabbing this year!)
They are placed in the bathtub cause we need a huge pail for 9 lobsters to drown them. Apparently, they drown in freshwater cause they need saltwater to live. so there they are in MY bathtub, in MY bathroom. and yarps, the bathroom is therefore now declared, messy and dirty. I can't decide whether to laugh or to cry cause I just cleaned the bathroom TODAY. in the afternoon. But then again, cause it's quite obvious they made it such, they would help clean it up? I suppose. okey I can go on and dream about them. *drool, slurps, eeks*
the disgusting octopus. Not live la. but eeee. hair all stand. so slimy.

proverbs of the day (or actually yesterday):
Proverbs 6:6 - 11
6 "Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,
7 Which, having no captain, overseer or ruler,
8 Provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?
10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep --
11 And poverty will come on you like a bandit, and scarcity like an armed man.
my answer to procrastination, laziness and lack of discipline. tsk.
