yeh, I'll come back to blogging right now.

I'll start with................let's see what's happened since I went back first.

I finally came back to my wronglors! oh I missed them so much. I gave them a surprise on the day I came back (which was a sunday), saying that my fren would pass them some stuff in church when they went for service cause I passed my fren some food from australia when he came over to visit me and it can't be kept for long, that's why I can't bring it back myself but had to pass to him to pass to them. Yah, I know abit confusing, but I had to keep all grounds covered. I reached SG at 7am-8am, then slept once i reach home - cause I can't sleep on planes - and woke up at 2pm to prepare to go church. I had to go all by myself somemore and hoping I won't catch anyone on the train.

So, cutting short, I arrived at the 4th service (asking them where they were in the queue stating the excuse that my fren can't find them) and I went to look for them. And there was only 1 person!! I'm like what? noone came to church?! Then I tapped son on the shoulder, he turned around and he was like look-at-me-for-a-moment, cracked up and,

Son: eh! what u doing here?! *laughs with the horsey-laughter* (but he was generally calm)
And then we talked and I asked of course "where are the rest?!"

Oh, and so they were like buying food and late and stuff. And then we continued to progress in the queue like moving towards the health centre. THEN, chelle reached, and she came up the escalators, and she called son.

Chelle: eh, where are you?
Son: at the Wan Yang Health Centre there
Chelle: IS THAT FEN IN FRONT OF YOU?
Son: NO....no la...where got Fen?
Son: how can it be possible Fen is here?
(at this very moment I'm like SHOOT. why she recognise me so fast so I tried to look towards the health centre covering my face and all..which only made it more obvious. I should have tried talking to someone in front of me.)
Chelle: THAT is fen loh.
Son: no la...where got fen? where..the one in front of me? no, it's someone else...
Fen: oh man *mouthing the words to son*

And then Chelle reached and she's like,

Chelle: So obvious loh. Who covers herself like that and tries to crouch and hide?
Fen: eh...but it's supposed to be a surprise.
*hugs*

So, we went on for service, and then met Si as well inside and she was shocked. She had a bigger response. HAh. And that was what I wanted to see! Service was really good and I missed pastor's teaching and the whole environment. And then I got them to ask everyone else out for dinner. Like to meet up and stuff. And I hid at the side of the Hokkien Mee/Or Lua coffeeshop for a while until everyone was seated and I were to order rojak and bring to the table like the coffeeshop auntie. -_-" which I didn't want to do it initially. But that was pretty interesting so fine.

But in the end, I went to the rojak stall and it's different from the usual rojak stall! I was like "has rojak in SG changed in a year?!" I didn't know what to order! the "Ingredients" were different! so I was like, forget it. I'll just go without the rojak.

So I ended up at the table, and stood in front of them and they looked at me and continued talking among themselves, like it was normal to have me there. Some of them didn't register me (SLOW like peng I think), some were not exactly excited (*sobs*) and some were just "oh you're back" (like Jin). OH MAN...what kind of response was this!? I expected like more drama leh. But nevermind, they were like more interested in discussing the comment that melis's mum made when she saw me on webcam. Like.....hmm.

So anyway, I dont have any photos for that day!! awweeee....I know i know. It's a mistake.

Then of course, I almost spent all my days and nights with them! Like intensive loh. =) Like until chelle (I think it was chelle?) had to say "We must stop spending time with each other. We have like no life." HAHA.
Our 2 food hunts are on my other post, and then of course there's the Christmas at Batam! (which I was so "suay" to get swollen eyes the day before - like what?! my photos are going to turn up terrible - which it did. And they had a good time laughing at my eyes, and being korean and it looks like I'm having real difficulty keeping my eyes open - which was true, just easier to keep them closed. You can def see them in the pictures la, it's so obvious.)

22nd Dec 2006

We spent 2days and 1night at Batam over Christmas, actually 2 days before Christmas cause someone had to go overseas on eve. it was good! great massage I had there - like cracked every single thing in me and great slide we played on. Like crazy 11 people stacked up on a slide and going down together. It was CRAZY. Like the line was so long, I wondered if the slide could hold all of us. man! and we had to hold on to each other, hold on to the sides of the slide, and then squiggle down a bit for the next person to "hook" on to the person in front and stuff. And if you think Jean is tops with 578 at camp, tell u what, we took 373 in 2day1night.

Go-karting. we had like teams. HAh.

Check out Chelle's cool hair.

You can so see my swollen eyes here already.

Fabulous seafood dinner which apparently wasn't too fabulous.

Preparation for the BIG night event. Our pretty-pretty night. And two "stars" walking the xing-guang-da-dao.

Individual snapshots. I still laugh when I look at Chee. Look at the last row third pic. HAHAHAHA 8D

And here starts the couply photos.

And my favourite group photos! Everyone!

And our last day waiting for the late ferry, crazy group photos. And again, silly yongjie photo. 2nd row first picture - the guy on the top right - he stands out la.

24th Dec 2006
And then we met again after 1 day. During Christmas Service at Indoor stadium. And Yongjie's wearing the shirt I bought him! he loves it. HAHA. I assume.

27th and 30th Dec 2006 Food Hunts (posted below in another post)\

12th Jan 2007

Now, now, it's time of the year to Ernest's birthday! We had a wonderful, appetizing dinner at geylang. his choice of good food.

27th Jan 2007

Freaky at son/wiwi's house. Fun with ru's new mac.

28th April 2007

And then the very next day, transformed from freaky back to nice. I had family photo taking day in Singapore - cause my sister can't wait anymore to have a framedup photo at home -_-" so we went for studio photo taking. Man! it's tiring! but I had fun la.

And I found out my dad is actually quite vain. Man! he kept pestering me to take photos for him. And now I realised my mum didn't take any! we must have been too busy taking ourselves and him.

The studio was near Chinatown area, so we went to get some GOOD shanghainese food (I'll bring u guys there someday k? - someone else knows this place. I can't remember who..someone from SZ.) And we also went to "walk" Chinatown New Year stalls.

02nd Feb 2007

Chelle's Birthday! We had a mini celebration of food again at where Darren is working at and then off to Chelle's house for fun with fluffy and mahjong, and phototaking.

3rd Feb 2007

awww.....leaving back to Perth today. It's been such a fast 2 months! totally gone in a flash. (well, in comparison, the year 2006 has been fast too. really in a flash. And even now, 2007 is already half gone!)

Back in Perth. And those who were around start to gather, and then there's the CNY2007 @ Jon's house!

18th Feb 2007

CNY2007! (which I missed everyone back in SG terribly - I loved house-visiting, tasting every single pineapple tart out there, love letters and favourite sugee cashews or the crumbly cookies.)

Steamboat was good and delicious. We even had lou hei with salmon okey! I made that cake in the 2nd last row! It's yummy too! Mango/Coconut/poppyseed cake. Poppyseed was Sherene's idea (ar! I got credit u ar!) - cause she bought too much poppyseed and didn't not know what to do with it anyway - but it made it look nice la. It was such a good night of coming together again after the holidays and before we started school.
And then school started for the rest of them, and I've started for 2 weeks already at the Medical Research Foundation at Royal Perth Hospital. (I should start taking photos at MRF/RPH too) And became so busy, that I had no time to take photos. HAH.

So the next photos were at Geraldine's and Vinny's Convocation! (actually I only knew abt ger's la.)
26th March 2007

Congratulations to our dear Geraldine! You're done! And you have a bright looking future! She was looking so glamourous that night. haha. I'm sure u're happie to see this. =)

And then it was MY night. (yeh, I'll have another one next year)

3rd April 2007

Hey! I managed to get hold of Bob mead and Max Cake! yays. must at least have something like that right. To justify the purpose of having graduation here. Too bad I didn't catch them during the night ceremony too. They were both there wearing their academic gowns on stage. Bob was so nice, he was in a lesson and he came out to take photo! All thanks to huiyi though, cause she was brave enough to go ask for me! (I was all in gown and all so I didn't want to go disturb the class la. too loud.) And most of the pics with my mum, and friends around school. I wished jasmine, susu, liying, liyana were around to take photos too. they were a part of me during school last year! miss ya all.

It was a pretty fast ceremony, not as boring as I thought it would be. I actually listened. But the "fireworks" were pathetic. Curtin releases REAL fireworks. But ours was on the screen! oh man! haha. Then there was a little drama inside too like cause this guy registered late according to the "officials" and so they didn't allow him into the ceremony, but he would not be able to go on stage to collect his certificate. He was so upset that he was standing at the corner "argueing" with the person who was in charge of making sure everyone was in the order that the list was reading out. And he stood there saying for so long that he was not late, that he was on time, and they should allow him to get it (i mean, he would still get it if he was late, just that he would not go on stage). Then finally he just tried to run on stage and climb up. 4 black suit-ed guys, like bouncers, just came on him and dragged him off the side of the stage, while everything was still going on! like people were still going onto the stage and stuff. that was a little drama for the night. HAh.

Ended the night with supper at Conca's and my mum and mum's fren loved the chilli mussels. Wronglors, when u guys come, I'll bring u there.

And so, my mum was in Perth for 1 week covering my convocation and we visited some places. More like I brought them to some places. Not that I haven't gone before. Only 1 place I haven't gone before - the Perth Mint. It's boring - I mean for the part u don't have to pay for. If u want to see like gold pour and stuff u have to pay - and it's quite alot if I remember correctly.

The last pic are with my curent housemates.

08th April 2007

Easter Long weekend! It's amazing how things turned out la. I wasn't supposed to go for ImpactCamp2007 but it turned out I did. And I didn't regret it. I was a fabulous time of fellowship and refreshment. So my whole weekend was spent there instead of initially going to do work (which after that I got a little warning hint from my supervisor that i need to stop playing get serious)

I thought camp was really good for me as it was (as mentioned above) a time of refreshing and fellowship. I felt impressed on me especially during the last worship night that there was a release of freedom and liberty. Freedom and liberty in a sense to go out to impact, to influence, to do the calling of God in my life. Especially as a cell intern, sometimes u I feel really small and inadequate to do certain things? like you don't know if you are doing it right, you don't know if this is the best way, you don't know how the response would be like, you want to show you care and love, but don't know how, etc etc etc.

When i shared this with my group, 12, Christine and maybe someone else I can't remember shared the same impression as me! which was a really good confirmation. And then even the little service that Brother Binh shared the message after the worship mentioned about freedom and liberty in Christ which was really good.

I know God has even more in store and that this could even be better. I'm waiting for the 100-fold. This might be the 30-fold?

12th April 2007

Sofia organised a meeting for us the TP-ians who were left in Perth this year! It was good seeing them again since I don't often see them now that I'm staying in East Perth and not based in school.

They (i.e. Sofia mainly) think the trumpet guy is cute. And I think he knew we were taking his photos cause he was smiling to himself. HAH. And I'm the one with the camera and maybe he thinks it's me. yikes.

26th April 2007

Finally, it's the Meet-Meien-for-fun-Night 2007.

We had a small gathering at King's Street Cafe at 8.15pm that day to eat cakes, drink drinks, and chill out and just talk and have fun. A handful couldn't make it and that was sad. It'll be good if everyone came. It was really a good turnout though hah. And we did talked and have fun and got to know abit more about everyone. HAh, like Amos plays the flute, Like me! but he's way more "pro".

And ellie bo bellie is now DED and I'm now WED. it's quite disgusting like WED is wet ear dirt. and she's dried ear dirt. it all started with my cake. but it was a yummy cake. she couldn't appreciate it. and she ordered JASMINE tea in a high crrrasss cafe. Jasmine tea = Chinese tea that they serve in Chinese restaurant. Hah.

And then meien started back onto the goosh effect on words. And she's quite a crazy driver la. Like reversing EVERYWHERE ANYTIME. like =S

Oh and Jean was sad her camera went out of battery. That was like her tragic event of the year ba? cause she's never without her camera!
That's it for now! I'll try updating more regularly so that I don't have to go through this BIG posting again. It's very time consuming and tiring! but glad I did it. x)

And some random photos from Jean!...I don't know where to insert them in. so here they go.

"THE scientist who led the team that cracked the human genome is to publish a book explaining why he now believes in the existence of God and is convinced that miracles are real.

Francis Collins, the director of the US National Human Genome Research Institute, claims there is a rational basis for a creator and that scientific discoveries bring man “closer to God”.
His book, The Language of God, to be published in September, will reopen the age-old debate about the relationship between science and faith. “One of the great tragedies of our time is this impression that has been created that science and religion have to be at war,” said Collins, 56. "

I can somewhat understand what he means. When I study science, I get amazed at the works of His hand. His wisdom, his creation. He created all these things that are so complex, yet so simple. Stuff that takes scientists decades to understand, He did it with a word.

The things of God are simple but powerful.
