The Battle Is The Lord's 2 Chronicles 20:1515… "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s."
When faced with a problem or a challenge, we ask ourselves, "What am I going to do?" And well-meaning family members and friends will come along and ask, "What are you going to do?"
Jehoshaphat faced a multitude of enemies. But instead of focusing on what he could do, he prayed, "O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You." (2 Chronicles 20:12)
When we turn our eyes on God, we will hear Him say, "Do not be afraid nor be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s... You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…"(2 Chronicles 20:15,17)
But standing still is the last thing we want to do when the enemy is coming against us. It is also the most difficult thing to do because we feel that we cannot just stand around and do nothing — we must try to save the situation. But God wants us to stand still and see Jesus our salvation, fight for us.
So what do you do the next time you are faced with a battle and you don’t know what to do? Jehoshaphat sent his singers to the front of the battle line to proclaim, "Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever." (2 Chronicles 20:21) Some people will wonder, "Does that mean that I just sing and don’t do anything else when I have a problem?" No, that is not what I am saying.
Do what the situation requires, but don’t worry and don’t trust in what you do. Like Jehoshaphat, rest and trust in His mercy that endures forever. When you do that, God will turn your battlefield into the Valley of Berachah. Berachah means "blessings" and they gave the battlefield that name because it took three days for them to gather all the spoils of war! God turned their situation into a great blessing!
Do you have a battle to fight? Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!

The Duck & the Devil (brought to my attention by CHELLE..hehe)
There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm. He
was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit the target. Getting
a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner.
As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.
Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in
the head, and killed it. He was shocked and grieved
In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile, only to see his
sister watching! Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.
After lunch the next day Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes."
But Sally said, "Grandma, Johnny told me he
wanted to help in the kitchen." Then she whispered to him, "Remember
the duck?" So Johnny did the dishes.
Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing and
Grandma said, "I'm sorry but I need Sally to
help make supper." Sally just smiled and said," Well that's all right
because Johnny told me he wanted to help."
She whispered again, "Remember the duck?" So Sally went fishing and
Johnny stayed to help.
After several days of Johnny doing both his chores and Sally's . he
finally couldn't stand it any longer.
He came to Grandma and confessed that he had killed the duck. Grandma
knelt down, gave him a hug, and said, "Sweetheart, I know. You see, I
was standing at the window and I saw the whole thing, but because I
love you,
I forgave you. I was just wondering how long you would let Sally make
a slave of you."
Thought for the day and every day thereafter?
Whatever is in your past, whatever you have done... and the devil
keeps throwing it up in your face (lying, cheating, debt, fear, bad
habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc.)... whatever it is... You need
to know that God was standing at
the window and He saw the whole thing... He has seen your whole life.
He wants you to know that He loves you
and that you are forgiven.
He's just wondering how long you will let the devil make a slave of you.
The great thing about God is that when you ask for forgiveness, He not
only forgives you, but He forgets ..
It is by God's grace and mercy that we are saved.

My BackyardI just realised that my backyard is so nice!..I've got lemons (albeit from my neighbour...), flowers (our own) and a nice view of the sky! Look!

Neighbour's Lemon Tree

Branching into our house! yay-ness

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?......And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" Matthew 6:25-30

1st April 2006 Swan Valley Short Trip *yes i heard the "update!" scream*
Went with Cell for a short trip to Swan Valley in the morning. It's really a short trip like only from 9 plus to 12 plus. Went to the Kafarels's Quality Produce where we got to taste some non-alcoholic wines and grape juices. Fantastic stuff - I love drinking those non-alcoholic grape juices - Used to buy Grapetiser from Carrefour everytime, this is nicer - cause they have non sparkling ones too! They also sell chutneys - and their pear and passionfruit was fabulous - but ex la..so decided against it. After which we went to this small vineyard to get grapes. Cheap juicy grapes but i didn't get any. On to Magaret River Chocolate Factory - where there's like dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate droplets for u to try. I bought 2 pralines - yumm...On to Lancester Wine Tasting. I love their dessert wine. But a small bottle cost $25 already. So.....next time?

It was a T-shirt - Cool eh? Too bad no small already.
