Eat more

You know...when someone cooks a meal for you, the best thing you could do to show your appreciation is to eat more and finish it up right? (And of course tell him/her that it was really good.) Wanting more and eating it all up till the last drop just shows how much you love it and really really appreciate it. It shows much more than just saying "yeh..it's really nice."

The Lord showed me this simple revelation one night. He showed me this and He reflected it to the Word of God. The way I could show Him I love His story, what He did for me, my appreciation...was to gobble up His food for me. His word. The more I read, the more I could get from Him. The more I read, the more I would understand. The more I read, the more He could teach. The more I read, the more spiritually prepared I am to face the battles everyday. Another reminder for me to get into the Bible. The more I eat up the food, the better it is (though no matter what i do would make Him love me more..it's the perfect maximum.)

Jesus' survival weapon of choice is Scripture. Look at how He answered satan in the wilderness. He used the Scripture. If the Bible was enough for his wilderness, shouldn't it be enough for us? Everything you and I need for desert survival is in the Book. We simply need to heed it.
