it's been over 3 weeks at the CTM. So far, I've gone to BGT, infectious diseases lab, In-Process control (Quality Control), and Blood Collection sections. It has been a great learning experience and I am still enjoying every moment of it though I hate the time i have to wake up and travel.
2 more days is deepavali eve and the department I am at now is so happening...haha...coz it's the blood collection area where the donors can see us, so we organised a day where all of us have to wear either the traditional costumes (i.e. punjabi, indian clothes, or malay clothes) or for the rest of us, we can order an indian top to wear. I ordered 1...it's not too bad and it's cheap! Only $8! So just for the fun and to support the rest of the nurses and the the organiser (her name is so sweet - Candy), I bought 1 to wear on wed!..haha..and I heard mediacorp will come over catch us on video..lol..
Actually everytime there's a festive season coming they will arrange to dress up la..quite fun ah!...the last one was halloween. U guess it...witches hat, black gory shirts, fangs, bat tattos. There was even an account of previous years fun- (or should it be scary) filled halloween where one of the lab officers who already looked like a vampire without any make up or accessories, made himself him to look like a vampire, and had long fingernails attached, went sratching the window of the crossmatching lab(coz that's where the blood bags are kept at night)!!...lol..furthermore, it was going into the night and there wasn't many people around and he shocked the 2 people inside really well! lol..
But, I still haven't done my logbook after 3 weeks. Shucks. I wanna sleep now le..nites..
