Worship Under The Stars
I wanted to jot down this event before I forget anything important. It was an amazing concert with God's presence felt. Rain started to pour once we started the concert. Obviously the devil didn't want us to do what we want to do!--Praise Him!...But...we started with a session of prayer, in the spirit and also with the leaders leading us into prayer....although it was still raining at the start, coupled with lightning...we continued. After about 1 praise songs, most were drenched wet...the sound system caught the 'cold' and it rested. There was no sound from the mics and speakers....but...amazingly, we sang!..WE sang!...everyone continue and although the voices couldn't go through the speakers, the music could!...so we sang about 3-4 praise songs, then we had to stop and delay the concert for a while coz there was frequent lightning. It was dangerous and so we went to the shelter. But, for one thing, the rain was going away....it was getting smaller and by the time we went to the shelter, it was only a light drizzle...but the leaders decided that they would have a 30 min break before we continue so that they could be sure that it was safe to come back out again...
And once they people said that we would resume, you could just see everyone running from the shelters, all the way back to the stage...everyone was excited to go back there to Praise the Lord!...then a small drizzle started again...but without much lightning...and we continued....we didn't want to stop anymore....but after about another 3-4 songs, deacon came up and then said a prayer and mentioned that the concert has come to an end...I was so disappointed, and I think the rest were too..but the system had to be returned already and so we couldn't continue...sad. But well, I truly enjoyed the worship and stars came out once we finished praying at the end of the concert. We were so overjoyed. And there was 1 star only --- the only One bright and morning star!....after that..we were just gathering around..getting back bags and arranging to go home then a few more stars came out. Love to go for big praise and worship concerts like this. The atmosphere is great, the presence is strong, everything is just wonderful for praising Him....Hope to go for something like this again soon...one coming up --- High Praise at SIS on April 15!
