Well well, it's been a long time. I always do this, don't I? Say I'll be back regularly, and then go away for a long time, then come back and say I'm back.

SORRY nah. just check back once in a while, and I should have something interesting up.

I'll put in a few interesting stuff that happened along the way...i mean, along the year. ;p

Alright, so first up! I pray I'll have a son as cute & adorable as he!

Met Jacob at "The Idea of North"'s concert, and it was my BLESSED day! You know, I've never really been "lucky" at lucky draws at all - and guess how pleasantly surprised I was when I heard my name called out for a free TION CD!! - I almost didn't hand in the slip (writing your email address & name etc) because I thought oh well, I can always find out their news when I want to, and besides, I'll never win the CD. BUT, everyone else was filling it in, and someone offered a pen, and voila! I really wanted to go buy lotto after that. I'm serious. THAT was like a big win.

ANYWAY, so after the concert, I went to collect my CD!
If you've read the above passage, you'll know that I only won ONE, not four. AHAHA. SO, I chose the 1st one I'm holding, the "Live @ the Powerhouse". It's great!

Of course, got it all autographed & picture taken!

Of course, before the concert, while waiting for the doors to open, we're up to the usual amusing-ourselves.

This is seriously GOOD STUFF!

And then there was the Spring Graduations happening too!

Finally met my Band Junior there! (been wanting to catch up with her ever since I known she's in Perth!)

And how about the time when Jon Chng had his birthday @ Hungry Jacks?

And also @ Jimmy Deans!

The only 3 girls there. They met @ my house before going together to Jimmy's & I was shocked when I reached home to find all GUYS hanging out @ my house waiting. I was like, "AM I THE ONLY GIRL?!" - phew, apparently not.

With the Birthday Boy!

And then there's the Leader's Retreat 2009

When we got let out.....

Had Lunch!

Went to an amusement park!

I knew I was a natural with it!

Lastly,
Still not everybody, but the most I guess?

And of course, how could I miss Orientation Sem 2?

We also celebrated Anwen's birthday on that night!

And to leave you with a (i thought) very cool photograph...

If I Was Jesus, I'd have some real long hair
A robe and some sandals, is exactly what I'd wear
I'd be the guy at the party, turnin' water to wine
Yeah me and my disciples, we'd have a real good time.

Ooh and I'd lay my life down for you (woooooh)
And I show you who's the boss (woooooh)
I'd forgive you and adore you
While I was hangin' on your cross
If I Was Jesus.

I'd have some friends that were poor
I'd run around with the wrong crowd, man I'd never be bored
Then I'd heal me a blind man, get myself crucified
By politicians and preachers, who got somethin' to hide.

Ooh and I'd lay my life down for you (woooooh)
And I show you who's the boss (woooooh)
I'd forgive you and adore you
While I was hangin' on your cross
If I Was Jesus.

If I Was Jesus, I'd come back from the dead
And I'd walk on some water, just to mess with your head (HAHAHA)
I know your dark little secrets, I'd look you right in the face
And I'd tell you I love you, with Amazing Grace.

Ooh and I'd lay my life down for you (woooooh)
And I show you who's the boss (woooooh)
I'd forgive you and adore you
While I was hangin' on your cross
If I Was Jesus.

If I Was Jesus.

From Max Lucado's "The Great House of God":

"Give us this day our daily bread."

What a statement of trust! Whatever you want me to have is all I want. Some days the plate runs over. God keeps bringing out more food and we keep loosening our belt. A promotion. A privilege. A friendship. A gift. A lifetime of grace. An eternity of joy. There are times when we literally push ourselves back from the table, amazed at God’s kindness. “You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup fills with blessing” (Ps. 23:5 MSG).

And then there are those days when, well, when we have to eat our broccoli. Our daily bread could be tears or sorrow or discipline. Our portion may include adversity as well as opportunity.

This verse was on my mind last night during family devotions. I called my daughters to the table and set a plate in front of each. In the center of the table I placed a collection of food: some fruit, some raw vegetables and some Oreo cookies. “Every day,” I explained, “God prepares for us a plate of experiences. What kind of plate do you most enjoy?”

The answer was easy. Sara put three cookies on her plate. Some days are like that, aren’t they? Some days are “three cookie days.” Many are not. Sometimes our plate has nothing but vegetables—twenty-four hours of celery, carrots, and squash. Apparently God knows we need some strength, and though the portion may be hard to swallow, isn’t it for our own good? Most days, however, have a bit of it all. Vegetables, which are healthy but dull. Fruit, which tastes better and we enjoy. And even an Oreo, which does little for our nutrition, but a lot for our attitude.

All are important and all are from God.

The next time your plate has more broccoli than apple pie, remember who prepared the meal. And the next time your plate has a portion you find hard to swallow, talk to God about it. Jesus did. In the garden of Gethsemane his Father handed him a cup of suffering so sour, so vile, that Jesus handed it back to heaven. “My Father,” he prayed, “if it is possible may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will” (Matt. 26:39).

Even Jesus was given a portion he found hard to swallow. But with God’s help, he did. And with God’s help, you can too.

For some photo updates!

Cause I only just received most of them...so let's add some random ones to outline happenings.

Our 2008 not-so-silent Christmas:

Potbless Gathering @ Angie's House:
Look Chelle! Our group-mate! HAHA. We need to catch up with Xiuhui. You arrange that? (i confessed about labelling him as my WEIRD friend. HAHA)

All Girl Rock Band:
They made a HUGE FUSS about me smiling. BUT - WHY CAN'T THERE BE A SMILING ROCKER?! You people. Discrimination! Emotionism!

I'll update more........when I find time.

Finally! I've got a little bit of time to update something!

p.s. I was surviving on 400MB internet for the last 2 months..so that's why though I had time, I couldn't update. Well, I survived!

This is my 2nd trip back to Singapore in 2 months...and i'm enjoying every bit of it. This time, I'm back for about 1.5 weeks, just to celebrate CNY - well, i've missed it for 3 years - so i'm entitled to flying back for CNY just because right? :D

I'm so full that I can't even sit properly. It's all quite crazy. Everyday out visiting, gathering...nope, I only went out 1 day to run some of my errands that's all the time I had. It's crazy.

I decided to add a photo of me & cousins - though not all i think..yea, we're missing some (yve for sure!):

so i'll add another one of yvette & shamus just because they couldn't make it on that day:

I'll be back in Perth soon (like real soon) and then I'll try to start updating more as I'm missing stuff in between the last post and this post! :)

And now, I'm so in love with this song by Israel Kamakawio'ole:

Somewhere Over The Rainbow - Israel Kamakawiwoole

Such a wonderful cover will always be on my playlist.

In other news....

Blessed Birthday Chelle! :D

Though you're going into the "hallmark of aging" where you find joy receiving home/household appliances, I'm with you. Don't worry, we'll support you as you walk, run and make dentures. I pray that the Good Lord bless you according to the abundance of His storehouse, I know that goodness & mercy will follow you all the days of your life and I know that for sure, you are enjoying the acceptable year of the Lord and walking in the free favours of the Lord. :D
